ASSIGNMENT: Acrostics are easy poems to write using vertical letters to create horizontal lines. Your assignment is to use a word vertically that is at least five letters in length and create lines from the letters that describe the main topic. Try your hand at imagery, rhyme, onomatopoeia, or alliteration. See below for samples. You must create THREE acrostics to complete the assignment, one of which must include your name (either first, last, or both).
